Book Talk Tuesday

I feel like the White Hare from Alice in Wonderland! I'm late!  I'm late!  I hope my tardiness doesn't result in lower numbers this week!  Sorry, gang! And does this font look small, or ist it just me?!?!  I have a case of the Mondays! : )
I have been searching the web for a great place to post book reviews for librarians and teachers to use in the classroom. Well, I am going to try hosting my own Book Talk Tuesday! I invite teachers, moms, dads and librarians to link to a recent book talk or book review that can be used by others.

My rules?
1. All content must be appropriate for children in grades kindergarten through eighth grade.
2. Websites that you link to must be child friendly since lots of kids visit this site and if they click on your link, I want it to be appropriate for them.
3. Positive reviews only, please... we only spread love here at The Lemme Library!
4. Books must be available in The US. (you are welcome to link to ARC reviews)
5. I reserve the right to remove any reviews that don't meet criteria 1-4.
In the link title field, be sure to include the title of the book you are reviewing and your site name. In the URL field, please link to this specific post that contains the book review (That way people don't have to scour your blog looking for it!)
I'd love it if you would leave a comment telling me about yourself! telling me anything that you'd like!  Ask me anything, tell me anything, suggest a good book or a new blog post topic. You are welcome to grab the Book Talk Tuesday graphic to use it on your blog.

  2. I would leave a comment telling about myself, but I think you know who I am by now! ;-) I think I will start leaving little tidbits about me though. Did you know I have never chewed gum in my life? That's right. Not even once.

  3. I just sent a link to a review of The Ghostwriter Secret by Mac Barnett but here's the link again in case there's a problem:

Speaking of problems, I thought I had posted your very nice comment today but, when I looked tonight, it wasn't there! So sorry! Don't know what could have happened.

  4. Oops! The first time I posted, I didn't read instructions and entered my own name instead of the name of my book! So, I reposted!

This is the first time I've participated in Book Talk Tuesday, but I've always wanted to! You rock for hosting this! :)

Oh, and something about myself...I collect Kermits (as in, the frog). I have a whole bunch of stuffed ones sitting in my library office!

  6. Love hanging with you book talk Tuesday folks. Great posts again this week! Not sure what I'm not doing right, Kelly, but the name of my post doesn't show, only my site name. In the Name slot I put my blog name, then I pasted the link to the review post in the URL slot.

Anyway, looking forward to spending more time with everyone's reviews and commenting as much as I can.

    Have a great week, all!

  8. Hi! This is my first Book Talk Tuesday, and I'm excited about participating :-) I am a mom and a graduate student who is studying Middle Grades education (Language Arts and Social Studies). I currently work at an academic library.

Look forward to reading everyone's reviews!

  9. Thanks for doing this! I put up a review of the Hidden Gallery this time.

I also managed to make a link mistake and put mine twice. Sorry about that!

Can't wait to read these later today.

  10. Lots of giggles reading about everyone this week! I can't believe Nancy Jo has never chewed gum in her life. Wow! Something about me... I used to hate the Beatles song 'Michelle' because when I was little, any new person I'd meet would start singing it and I was TERRIBLY shy. I hated the Beatles for a long time! I'm sure this wasn't what you meant by 'tell us something about yourself', but it's worth the giggles! Thanks again for hosting Book Talk Tuesday!

  11. Thanks again for starting BTT! Love everyone's comments about themselves. My main squeeze also collects Kermit! He rides a BMW motorcycle and one of the Kermits travels with him. One time Kermit fell off and a little girl in a car held up a sign to tell him.

Sometimes I go along. We recently did a trip through Virginia and NC. Never thought I'd be riding motorcycles once I turned 50, but I love it.

  13. Hi, Kelly. What a fabulous turnout! I'm sorry I'm not participating. Just got back from India and am super jetlagged. Am a bit behind on things, but I will try to post a review next Tuesday :)

  14. It has been fun to read all the comments.

I once owned (very briefly) a live hyena cub.
    (And they are VERY stinky!)
