Book Talk Tuesday 2012

I have been searching the web for a great place to post book reviews for librarians and teachers to use in the classroom. Well, I am going to try hosting my own Book Talk Tuesday! I invite teachers and librarians to link to a recent book talk or book review that can be used by others- to help purchase new books, learn about new books and to help give us book talk ideas.
My rules?
1. All content must be appropriate for children in grades kindergarten through eighth grade.
2. Please link to your original content, not the content of others.
3. Websites that you link to must be child friendly since lots of kids visit this site and if they click on your link, I want it to be appropriate for them.
4. Positive reviews only, please... we only spread love here at The Lemme Library!
5. Books must be available in The US. (you are welcome to link to ARC reviews)
6. I reserve the right to remove any reviews that don't meet criteria 1-5.
In the link title field, be sure to include the title of the book you are reviewing and your site name. In the URL field, please link to this specific post that contains the book review (That way people don't have to scour your blog looking for it!)
So... I have a new look! What do you think?I have been wanting to create my own presence- separate from my school library.  This opens some opportunities for me- my content can expand, my reviews can be varied... I will still keep all content suitable for a middle school aged audience.  Eventually, I'd like to change my blog address, but it makes me very nervous! I also changed my twitter name- I am now @ThebookButcher. Come and see me! Has your blog gone through a make over or a change? What advice do you have for me? I am excited and optimistic about this change!

  1. I'm new to your blog so I don't think I can comment on the changes you've made but I'm happy to have found a place to read and share book reviews. Thank you!

  2. Hi, Kelly! I love the new look...and the new name. Very clever! I'll go look you up on Twitter now. I've often wondered what it would be like to change Twitter names at some point, so I'll be interested to hear how it goes. Hope well!

  3. Blog makeovers are great! It's good to keep evolving, I think. The Book Butcher brings all sorts of images to mind. (Be gentle!) :)

  4. I like the new logo. I made the mistake once of changing my twitter handle at the same time I changed my picture. That created some definite confusion.

I like the handle I use for my blog and twitter right now, but it does sometimes lead people to think my name is Paige.
